- About the Artist: Cynthia I. Noel was born and raised in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Her love of drawing and painting flourished very early in life and is self taught. Her style is inspired by the impressionists such as Manet, Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec.
- About the Print: Quidi Vidi's harbour is known as ‘The Gut’ for the narrow gap opening out into the Atlantic Ocean and is home to the Quidi Vidi Battery Provincial Historic Site a 1762 French Battery.
